The play unfolds as a conversation between the artist, Frank Legend, and the art critic, Michelle Greer. After years of painting, Frank’s work has finally received critical attention. Now, he must meet a public. Frank is cagey, independent, and tries to distract from the conversation that focuses on his life and achievements, but Michelle’s candor about her own efforts to become an artist may open him.
“An Evening with Frank Legend” is a staged reading of a new play by Damon Falke and features actors Barry Brathovde and Bonni Dichone. It is directed by Charlie Pepiton. The event is co-produced by Square Top Theatre, Gonzaga University Dept. of Theatre & Dance, Gonzaga Theatre Program, and the Robert K. and Ann J. Powers Chair of the Humanities at Gonzaga University – College of Arts & Sciences.
A conversation with the creative team will follow the performance.
